There is this other day was called for a birthday celebration and was given an opportunity to give a speech. my favourite line on the speech was "life is like a game you move from one stage/level to the other level all this is because of the skills that you had on countering difficulties of each stage, on the other hand, being able to utilise the time when the game was easy" same as life.
Our heading reads "wounded but not slaughtered", Us as Christians sometimes we have a tendency of marking the end of our lines when faced with problems. Some may even go an extra mile to commit suicide and or join cults for quick riches. Forgetting that there are just wounded not slaughtered, they still have room to fight room, power for pressing on.
If soldiers are on the battlefield, one gets shot on the arm that person doesn't give up coz of the bullet in the arm, he finds a way to cover the wound so as to stop bleeding and continue with the mission to defend the territory.
That same spirit must also be seen in us. No matter how big the situation might look like be it you are broke, you lost your loved ones, you are unemployed you can name all the problems. If you believe in our living God, just stand up and say I'm wounded like that soldier on the battlefield I'm not slaughtered. Pray to him to give you power and strength to keep on soldering ..defend your territory, defend your relationship, defend your blessings that God has given unto you.
let me finish by giving an example of Samson. He was sent to defend the territory of Israelites from Philistines. Samson then fell in love with a beautiful Philistine woman named Delilah. The rulers in Philistine came to Delilah and offered her money if she found out what made Samson so strong.
Delilah asked Samson continually about his strength and bugged him so much that he finally told her the secret to his strength - that he was given his strength at birth by God and that if his hair was cut he would lose his strength. That evening as Samson slept, Delilah cut his hair and called in the Philistines. The Philistine men were able to capture Samson. They barged in, gouged his eyes out and took him to prison in Gaza.
The Philistines brought Samson out before a great crowd of rulers and thousands of people gathered in the temple to celebrate his capture. Samson's hair had begun to grow back and as he leaned against the pillars of the temple, he prayed to God for strength once more to defeat the Philistines. Samson used all of his might and pushed down the temple, killing himself and thousands of Philistines and rulers. God forgave Samson and still accomplished great things through Samson.
Lastly, I say to you the one who is reading be like Samson he was wounded because of Delilah, Samson then managed to talk to God asking for forgiveness, and the power to finish his mission. You know the problems that you are facing now pray to him to give you the power to defend your territory, defend all your Godly heart desires. for sure I say to you he will hear your voice.
Psalm 91:15
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him."
